PTAP2 - Dual tap tempo controller for PT2399 delays

SKU: PTAP201
Just like the PTAP controller, but with dual delay capability for pedals such as the Build Your Own Clone Digital Echo & Ping-Pong.
This kit consists of two DIP-14 ICs: one Atmel micro-controller and one Microchip dual digital pot. The MCU is pre-programmed and calibrated for internal timing accuracy and the accompanying pots.
- On power-up the MCU/pots are in manual mode. The delay controls function as normal.
- First tap activates tap mode.
- In tap mode the delay pots select the beat (quarter/eighth/dotted eighth/triplet eighth)*.
- If the pedal is in serial mode then delay pot #1 selects the beat. Pot #2 is not used.
- If the pedal in in parallel mode then both delay pots select the beat for their corresponding PT2399.
- Taps are timed and scaled to the beat and digital pots are set accordingly.
- LED blinks to the tempo.
- Holding down the tap foot-switch for 2 seconds changes back to manual mode.
- Can be booted in to a calibration mode by holding down the tap switch on power-up.
- An optional "Parallel-Mode" LED lights up when in Parallel/Ping-Pong mode.
- Draws less than 5mA.
* This is of course within the delay limits of the PT2399 itself. The 50k pot corresponds to a maximum delay time of about 600ms per PT2399 chip.
